colorful summer wedding | michael & chelsea [married!] | cologne mn wedding photographer

It was a beautiful Saturday in July for Michael & Chelsea to tie the knot in a fun day of celebrating with their friends and family in style. All of the details Chelsea picked out were perfection - from her colorful bouquet to her sparkly shoes! The groomsmen all looked sharp in their navy suits. The bridesmaids rocked some beautiful long lace-topped bridesmaid dresses in a gorgeous pink/purple color of the perfect shade. After the ladies helped Chelsea get into her stunning dress, it was time to see her groom. We did the couple's first look outside to soak up the nice summer day. I always love witnessing couples seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. Chelsea & Michael then read the letters they had written to each other, it was so sweet. Following some portraits, we wrangled upthe colorful wedding party and families for some group photos. Everyone looked great and was having so much fun. Then it was time to head inside for the ceremony in the beautiful St Bernard's Catholic Church. Once pronounced husband & wife, with cheers to the couple's first kiss, the newlyweds and their wedding party were whisked off to celebrate on a horse-drawn carriage (perfect for this animal-loving pair!) The Cologne Community Center was decorated so wonderfully, with touches of gold, flowers, and candles everywhere. After a very yummy dinner, the speeches from various members of the wedding party had everyone laughing! We snuck the bride and groom outside for a few portraits in the golden sunset before everyone danced the night away (with a lot of ice auger moves!) Special thanks to my second shooter Emily Davis for her help capturing this amazing day. Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Willems!
