|After rescheduling for heat advisories and then wild fire smoke clouds, I finally got to take Maddox's senior portraits on a summer evening. We started off at the baseball field at Chanhassen High School, where he plays catcher. He had a good time filling me in on some of the finer details of that position and I had fun sharing about my time photographing baseball in college. (But truthfully my favorite action sport to photograph is basketball) After we wrapped up at the field, we headed down the hill to historic downtown Chaska for more of an urban backdrop with a black polo and dress pants. Maddox has some of the most striking eyes ever that seemed to pop in such moody lighting. Before wrapping up, he switched to a t shirt and shorts for a more casual look. I had a great time capturing these senior portraits! His mom ended up picking a stunning photo cover album to show off favorites from the session, as well as a handful of high quality prints. It is the best part of my job to not only enjoy the session together with my clients, but to see the final images printed and in their hands.|
