The last Saturday in April was an absolutely gorgeous day to celebrate Andy & Allie tying the knot! On the bright sunny morning, I arrived to the ladies getting all pampered at the Interlachen Country Club. I adored all of Allie's pastel-colored details along with the sparkle of her gold glitter shoes. Allie did a fun first look with her bridesmaids, as well as her dad and brother before seeing her groom. Andy & Allie's first look on their wedding day was full of excitement and joy! After reading each other heartfelt wedding day letters, we took some bride and groom portraits in the beautiful spring sun. Then the bridesmaids and groomsmen joined us in their dusty pink and purple dresses and sharp black suits (along with hot sauce socks, compliments of the groom!). The greens of the country club made for a perfect backdrop with the entire wedding party! Then it was off to St Stephen's church for the sweet and personal ceremony. There were lots of laughs when the priest presented Andy with his own skein of yarn and set of knitting needles - a nod to the bride's love of knitting. After communion and the pronouncement of the newlyweds, the bride and groom along with their friends were whisked off by party bus to celebrate at a local watering hole. The reception hall at the Interlachen Country Club was transformed with touches of pastel floral centerpieces, topped by wood-cut calligraphied table numbers. All of the guests had fun interacting and eating a delectable dinner. Following the speeches from the parents, best man, and maid of honor, it was time to dance! The groom had a chance to show off his amazing "Ukrainian Dance Moves" much to everyone's enjoyment. What a great way to cap off an amazing wedding day. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Smulka!
