Goodness have I been looking forward to this wedding for a long time! Jamie & Ellen's wedding day was an awesome Saturday celebrating these two awesome people along with their very fun families and friends. Starting the day off at St John's, myself and my second shooter Chloe began with the details (jewelry, shoes, dress, flowers) which bride Ellen had oh-so-carefully picked out to perfection! I loved the mix of bright gold with the rich navy blue; everything came together so exceptionally. I could not get over the lace on her shoes! Ellen's maid of honor, Grace, helped her slip into her dress, while the guys finished getting ready downstairs. The personal attendants rocked the corsage pinning. Ellen & Jamie's first look in front of the steps of St John's was so exciting and happy! I was tearing up behind my camera. After some portraits with the couple, the wedding party came to join us and they looked fantastic. You can always learn about the couple by the people they choose to surround themselves with -- and let me tell you, this was a great bunch! Clearly there was no shortage of laughter. The family portraits were next; Chloe and I agreed we had never seen such a well coordinated group of people. Then it was inside for the ceremony, including an awesome message by Pastor Josh. After the first kiss and cheers from the guests, the party bus whisked the wedding party off to the Waconia Brewing Company, a favorite hang out for Jamie & Ellen. A few cold ones later, we all headed back to the wonderfully decorated Pavilion for the wedding party entrance, dinner, and speeches. The maid of honor's speech included words of wisdom from her 8 years of marriage (Grace correct me if I got that number wrong!), along with advice from Ellen's mom and both grandmothers. Then it was time to dance the night away to one awesome DJ (Thanks Craig!) under the twinkle lights. I still like to joke that Ellen and I should've just had a double wedding, seeing as Mitch and I are also getting married at St John's, reception at the Pavilion and Hillcrest for dinner this July! Congratulations again, Foltzs! Your wedding day was an absolute joy to be a part of!
