rustic farm wedding | bessie's barn wedding photographer | kyle & nicole [married!]

Kyle & Nicole couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day in October to say I Do at Bessie's Barn, located outside of Centerville, IA. Having known the bride since our freshman year of college (I met her by running into her open dorm room with my laundry basket shaped like a cow..), it was an especially exciting day to capture! The girls were getting ready in the most adorable little cottage by the barn when I arrived. All of the rustic and country details were so cute - like the line of the girls' cowboy boots and blue lace dresses. Nicole's sunny yellow bouquet matched her bright personality to a T, made even more special with the lockts including the photos of her dad. The guys also looked great in their causal jeans & boots - perfect attire for a country wedding. After some photos with the guys and the girls, it was time for the ceremony which was the first time Kyle got to see his bride as she came down the aisle, escorted by her very special God father. I love that the couple's two dogs, Hank & Samantha also got in on the fun! Their vows & rings were exchanged in the afternoon sun, with lots of laughs and even some happy tears. A bunch of portraits with the family, wedding party, and of course the two newlyweds followed the ceremony before heading into the barn for the reception. The wedding party had some pretty hilarious entrances! The speeches were touching and then it was time for the first dances, before the guest danced the night away. Before the sun could completely set, I stole the bride and groom away for a few more images in the fog outside. How cool does that look? What a wonderful day celebrating Kyle & Nicole!
