lime green wedding | mason city, ia wedding photographer | mitch & britney [married!]

A fall day in Mason City, IA was the perfect day for Mitch and Britney's wedding. The church was absolutely gorgeous and reminded me of a castle. I loved all of Britney's lime green touches, from her TOMs (probably her all-time favorite shoe brand) to the green stone added to the side of her engagement ring. After the moms helped her get dressed, Britney did first looks with both her dad and her younger brothers, something I thought was oh-so-cute. Following that, it was time to see her groom! Boy, did Mitch's face light up when Britney turned around. The side of the church was a great setting for portraits of the bride and groom, along with the wedding party. Eventually the sun came out and we scooted into the shade for the family formals. Then it was inside the sanctuary for the wedding ceremony! One of the sweetest photos from this big day was when Mitch was wiping a tear while Britney was hugging her dad after walking her down the aisle. Once pronounced husband and wife, Mitch and Britney exited the church in a shower of bubbles from their friends & family. Then it was time to get crazy on the party bus with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. We made a few stops including The Landing, which is where Mitch proposed on Britney's birthday. The owner presented them with a shot to celebrate their marriage. The dock nearby made a perfect spot for a few more photos of the newlyweds. Finally the bus dropped everyone off at Diamond Jo Casino for the very fun reception! The speeches were hilarious and the garter auction made for some funny deals. Following the first dance, the guests danced the night away. Congratulations, Mitch and Britney!
