Christian and Alisa said their "I Do's" on a beautiful spring day at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove, MN, surrounded by their loving family and friends. The bridesmaids' classic navy dresses were accented with pale pink ribbons, while the groomsmen donned matching vests and unique cuff links. The couple's first look in the side chapel was so emotionally charged and sweet to witness. We snuck in some photos with their lovely family members as well as a few with the goofy wedding party before the ceremony took place. With a variety of beautiful musical instruments setting the tone, the touching ceremony was full of excitement and joy, plus a thumbs up from the bride during the couple's first kiss! Following the ceremony, I was able to snap some photos of the newlyweds outside. They obviously didn't mind it one bit when I asked them to kiss or gaze at each other. One of my favorite photos is of Christian and Alisa simultaneously pushing up their glasses - it just cracked me up how much they were in sync, so I had to include it. I also could not get enough of Alisa's wonderful and delicate bouquet! After a quick stop at Claddagh, we headed to the Gale Mansion in Minneapolis for the cocktail hour and the reception. The cake was topped with the cake topper from Alisa's grandma's wedding. The maid of honor, Emilia's speech was especially heartfelt, seeing as the bride was her best friend, the groom her cousin, so now she can say she is related to her best friend! (I also might add a connection to that list, as I met Emilia five years ago while we were both studying abroad in Senegal, West Africa.) Christian and Alisa capped out the night by dancing away to the live band. Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Rogers!
