henry & audrey [married!] | boone ia wedding photographer

This Thanksgiving weekend wedding was truly a day full of love & laughter. My college roommate of 3 years, Audrey said "I Do" to her hubby Henry in a beautiful country church on the Boone, IA hillside, complete with an orange steeple that you can see for miles. The crisp sunny morning was a beautiful backdrop for many of the day's fun details - the bride's sparkly gold shoes, a necklace from the groom's late mother, some beautiful orange and red bouquets, along with a surprise gift of WWE tickets for the groom. Henry & Audrey had their tearful (happy tears!) first look on the front steps of the little church - what an incredible moment. The couple and the wedding party then headed out to the bride's family's home for some photo ops. Although chilly, the light was absolutely amazing. The laughter from this group was unmatched. While the bridesmaids and groomsmen warmed up, Henry & Audrey took advantage of a few quiet moments on a wild day for some portraits as bride and groom. I just love the way they look at each other! Back to the church we went, and included some family in photos as well as getting a few with the church's beautiful stained glass. The ceremony then followed, with special music by friends and family. After escorting out their guests, the couple headed to the Boone County Fairgrounds to celebrate! Hilarious and heartfelt speeches from the Best Man and Maid of Honor lit up the place. Once he danced with his bride, Henry's first dances with his sister and aunt meant there was not a dry eye in the house. A special appearance by Elvis kicked off the wild dance floor for the rest of the evening. Thankfully Henry brought a change of clothes to ensure his rented suit would not end with a split in the pants (apparently it has happened before!) It was so wonderful to catch up with so many college friends and dance the night away. Congratulations, Henry & Audrey! Capturing your wedding was an absolute blast.
